On December 18, 2019, Good Governance Institute organized a three-day study visit for the National Center for Human Rightsof Uzbekistan on practical experience in the field of Human Rights in Georgia.

The visits took place in a multiple setting and gathered the representatives of the Human Rights Secretariat of the Government of Georgia, Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Internal Affairs, and Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia. The study visits aimed to respond to the ongoing social discussions within the human rights spectrum, to increase capacity n the issue, and to create a shared understating during implementation of international and national normative framework on human rights.

The study tour program covered the following issues: Improving the system of data collection to be included into national reports on human rights and SDGs; Georgia's cooperation with UN treaty organizations and the European Court of Human Rights; Mechanisms to ensure the quality and effectiveness of investigations; Modern standards for investigating violence against women, human trafficking, hate crimes, juvenile and juvenile crimes; Control mechanisms for the enforcement of judgments of the UN Human Rights Committee and the European Court of Human Rights; Legal and institutional mechanisms for the adoption, enforcement, and control of the National Human Rights Strategy; State policy on gender equality and the legislative, and institutional mechanisms for its implementation.
